M1-32: SLITFILMS AND LONG FILAMENT BULB

PURPOSE: Diffraction and interference by various slits and combinations of slits.

DESCRIPTION: This uses the Cornell slitfilm 3"x4" slide to show various diffraction phenomena using a long-filament incandescant bulb. Set up for individual viewing: the observer holds the slit an inch or so in front of his or her eye and views the filament through the slit(s) of interest to view diffraction and interference. The Cornel slitfilm includes single, double, and multiple slits of various size and spacing.
