Mirror of
The Physics Lecture Demonstrations' Collection
is comprised of over 1,000 pieces of equipment, plus 50 black & white film strips (3-4 minutes each), 20 films (approx. 1 hr each), and 100 videotapes (seminars, colloqiua, films).
Managers of the collection are happy to give out information, and to show the collection. Demonstrations are set up mainly for professors teaching physics classes either in LeConte Hall or Pimentel Hall. Some demos are loaned temporarily to teaching assistants for discussion sessions; however regular physics classes always have priority. The demonstrations are generally not for loan to anyone outside the
physics department. (Many of them are delicate, one-of-a-kind, and expensive.)
